United to resume non-stop service from US to Israel

United Airlines announced that it will resume flights from the United States to Israel starting in March. This makes United the first major US airline to restart flights to Israel following the recent conflict. The airline plans to begin with connecting flights from New York and Newark on March 2 and March 4, with the goal of starting daily non-stop flights on March 6. United stated that it conducted a thorough safety analysis in partnership with security experts and government officials from the US and Israel, as well as with the Air Line Pilots Association and the Association of Flight Attendants. The company also expressed its intention to add a second daily flight from Newark in May and to evaluate the possibility of resuming flights from San Francisco, Washington Dulles, and Chicago O’Hare in the fall. Delta and American Airlines, on the other hand, have not yet resumed their services to Israel, although Delta has indicated that flights could restart in the spring.
